About the Role:

Carina Software Inc is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to play a key role in our software development lifecycle. As an Intermediate DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient deployment, management, and scalability of our applications and public APIs on the Azure Cloud platform.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Implement CI/CD Pipelines: You will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous integration and deployment of applications.
  2. Collaborate with Development Teams: You will collaborate closely with our development teams to enhance our CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and implement best practices for system reliability and performance.
  3. Deploy and Manage Applications: You will deploy and manage applications on Azure Cloud, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
  4. Monitor and Troubleshoot System Issues: You will monitor and troubleshoot system issues, responding promptly to incidents and working to minimize downtime.
  5. Implement Automation Tools: You will implement automation tools for provisioning, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.
  6. Optimize Application Performance: You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize application performance, improve reliability, and enhance overall user experience.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience: 4-5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or related roles.
  3. Technical Skills: Proven experience deploying and managing software on Azure or other relevant platforms.
  4. Infrastructure as Code: Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IAC) principles using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm Charts, or Deployment Manager.
  5. Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  6. Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  7. Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools to ensure system health and performance.
  8. Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  9. Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams and customer organizations.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  1. Relevant Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
  2. Industry Experience: Experience in the oil and gas sector or a similar industry.
  3. Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing them in a cloud environment.
