Job Title: Director, Public Policy, Canada

Netflix is seeking a seasoned Director to lead our policy engagement efforts in Canada. As a key member of our Public Policy team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to advance our business interests in the policymaking process.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand the impact of public policy developments on our business.
  • Develop and implement strategies to advance our business interests in Canada.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination.
  • Monitor and advance legislative and regulatory initiatives in Canada.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to identify production priorities and facilitate production processes.
  • Manage external consultants and relationships with membership organizations.
Requirements:
  • At least 15 years of legal, public policy, and advocacy experience.
  • Prior experience navigating regulatory and legislative bodies.
  • Experience working in government, studios, and content production, the private sector, a trade association, a law firm, or a policy organization.
  • Graduate training in a related discipline and/or a legal degree is also desirable.
  • French language skills are a plus.
