Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our comprehensive cancer control services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients, including assessment, intervention, symptom management, treatment coordination, and administration.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, injections, blood products, and IV fluids as required by the care plan.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including nursing assessments, telephone communications, symptom and side effect management, patient and family education, and care evaluations.
- Admit, transfer, or discharge patients according to BC Cancer policies and Centre directives.
- Assist patients in interpreting their care plans and refer them to other healthcare professionals and programs as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff by adhering to emergency procedures and safety policies and standards.
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- Current CPR (Level C) certification.
- One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
