Academic Guidance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Advisor to join our team at the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success of our students.

Job Summary:

The Academic Advisor will provide academic guidance and support to students, helping them to achieve their academic goals and overcome challenges. This is a continuing contract position, working 8 hours per day based on the school calendar, and is a 12-month full-year position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic guidance and support to students, helping them to develop academic plans and strategies for success.
• Assist students in navigating the academic system, including course selection and registration.
• Help students to overcome academic challenges and barriers, including those related to learning style, motivation, and time management.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
• Stay up-to-date with curriculum and program developments, and provide students with accurate and timely information.

Requirements:
