Job Title: Solutions Architect for Modernization

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in the transformation of our insurance products and legacy applications.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing modern software engineering practices and cloud-native technologies to drive innovation and future-proof our solutions. You will provide strategic direction, expertise, and leadership, ensuring our technology initiatives are closely aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive architecture framework that includes standards, guidelines, and reference architecture for solution production and implementation.
  • Manage solution architecture across multiple products, ensuring consistency and alignment with business goals.
  • Supervise developers and integration activities, providing clarifications, resolving issues, and supporting the team throughout the development process.
  • Proactively identify potential system and specification discrepancies, and propose innovative solutions to address them.
  • Assist the development team in formulating comprehensive solution strategies and roadmaps.
Requirements:
  • University Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 25 years of experience as a solution architect, technical lead, or in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience designing and working with microservices architecture, including API gateways and/or service mesh.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in engaging with senior business and technology leaders to align technology solutions with business strategies.
  • Proficiency in Agile development and CI/CD methodologies, with experience in platforms such as Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, or Jira.
  • Strong background in architecting robust and cost-effective solutions for public cloud and on-premises hosting, with hands-on experience in GCP or Microsoft Azure.
