Job Title: Kitchen Cabinet Installer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Cabinet Installer to join our team. As a Kitchen Cabinet Installer, you will be responsible for installing kitchen cabinets and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation of Kitchen Cabinets: Install kitchen cabinets, including measuring, marking, and assembling cabinets.
  • Measurement and Marking: Measure and mark guidelines for installations, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies, including tools and equipment.
  • Supervision: Supervise other workers and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Tool Operation: Utilize hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders.
  • Scaffolding and Platforms: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

  • Visual Accessibility: Provide visual accessibility accommodations, such as braille and screen readers.

  • Settlement Support: Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Social and Labour Market Integration: Support social and labour market integration, including access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruitment: Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
  • Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Diversity Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Youths:
  • Government Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment.
  • On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth.
  • Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Support for Veterans:
  • Government Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support Veterans.
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Veterans.
  • Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Targeted Hiring: Recruit Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives.
  • Transition Support: Assist with immediate transition needs, such as relocation and housing.
  • Workshops and Counseling: Offer workshops, counseling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
  • Skills Translation: Support Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
  • Flexible Onboarding: Offer flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Government Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Cultural Competency: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Cultural Awareness: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Support for Mature Workers:
  • Government Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support mature workers.
  • Hiring Policies: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
  • Awareness Training: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for mature workers.
  • Phased Retirement: Offer phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
  • Phased Re-entry: Offer phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring.
