Landscape Labourer Job Description

JANZEN EARTH PRODUCTS LTD. is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a healthy and visually appealing landscape.
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn maintenance tasks to ensure a well-manicured appearance.
  • Remove litter and garbage to keep our outdoor spaces clean and safe.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to support plant growth and soil health.
  • Lay sod or seed to establish new lawns and gardens.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our outdoor spaces.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure their health and well-being.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to support our grounds maintenance efforts.
Work Environment:

As a Landscape Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve our grounds maintenance goals.

Requirements:
  • Experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule is 35 hours per week.
