Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our warehouse team at EMCO Corporation. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Inventory Management:
    • Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and inventory records
    • Accurately receive and store products in a safe and organized manner
    • Identify and report any discrepancies or damaged products
  • Picking and Packing:
    • Pick products for customer orders with accuracy and efficiency
    • Assemble and pack products for shipment, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete
  • Shipping and Logistics:
    • Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products
    • Process and track shipments, resolving any issues that may arise
  • Warehouse Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols
    • Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset
  • A minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge
  • Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and any other material handling equipment
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and accurately process orders
  • Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
  • Intermediate math skills
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre
  • Experience using Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and Outlook
