About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team at Lapis Investment Ltd. in a hotel laundry setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals to ensure high-quality laundry results.
  • Operate machines to dye, spray, re-oil, and re-buff suede and leather garments, maintaining attention to detail and quality control.
  • Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Hand iron laundered fine linens or dry-cleaned silk garments, requiring precision and care.
  • Operate finishing equipment such as steam pressers, and use hand irons to finish pants, jackets, shirts, skirts, and other dry cleaned and laundered articles.
  • Assemble and bag finished articles, ensuring they are accurately matched with invoices or tags.
  • Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure they meet our establishment standards.
  • Record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles, maintaining accurate records.
  • Use hand-held steam iron to touch up finished garments and other articles, requiring attention to detail.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues.
Working Environment

The successful candidate will work in a hot and noisy environment, with exposure to odors. They will be required to work in a hotel laundry setting, operating various machines and equipment.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Will train, with a focus on developing skills and knowledge in laundry operations.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with a regular schedule.
