Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Field Technician to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting field investigations and testing to support our clients' environmental and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field investigations and testing, including drilling, sampling, and surveying, to support environmental and infrastructure projects.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and patterns, and provide recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure effective communication and project outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in our work.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in environmental field work, including geotechnical, hydrogeological, and environmental testing.
  • College diploma in an Earth Science, Environmental, or Civil Engineering Technology/Technician program.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Valid First Aid/AED Training certification.
  • Must own a reliable vehicle and hold a valid driver's license.
  • Adaptable and analytical, with a willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when needed.
  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment and make informed decisions.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Team player, able to cooperate with other staff and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Ability to meet challenging deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements.
