Job Title: Obstetrician-Gynecologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join our team at Eastern Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients, including prenatal and postnatal care, gynecologic surgeries, and management of high-risk pregnancies. You will also be expected to work effectively with our healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communicate effectively with patients and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients, including prenatal and postnatal care, gynecologic surgeries, and management of high-risk pregnancies.
  • Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as necessary to diagnose and manage patient conditions.
  • Perform gynecologic surgeries and other procedures as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in obstetrics and gynecology, and incorporate this knowledge into patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to patient care.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of a residency program in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the province of [province].
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
