Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Transportation Specialist to join our team in Taber, AB. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students.

About the Position

As a School Bus Driver with First Student, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and their families. You will be responsible for transporting students safely and efficiently to and from school, while also providing exceptional customer service.

In this role, you will:

  • Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, including during boarding and exiting the bus.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school staff to resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid driver's license for at least 1 year.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • The ability to pass a Ministry prescribed medical examination and background checks.
