At William Osler Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopaedic Technologist to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Orthopaedic Technologist will work under the direction of orthopedic/plastic surgeons and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals in the fracture clinic. The successful candidate will provide care to clients with orthopedic problems through the application, adjustment, and removal of cast splints and traction fittings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care through the application and adjustment of cast splints and traction fittings
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent required
- Current registration with the Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologists preferred
- Three years of experience as an ortho technologist preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
