L3Harris Technologies is a leading aerospace and defense technology innovator, delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customers' mission-critical needs. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with new project set-up and maintenance in our IFS ERP system, maintaining project records and databases, and analyzing project status and progress. They will also prepare internal progress reports, project schedules, and EAC updates, as well as contact vendors to expedite deliveries and solicit cost estimates.

Key qualifications for this role include a strong understanding of project management methodologies, excellent communication skills, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record of working effectively in a team environment and have a strong understanding of high-tech products.

Additionally, the successful candidate must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program, obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO SECRET security clearance, and meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with new project set-up and maintenance in IFS ERP system
  • Maintain project records and databases
  • Analyze project status and progress
  • Prepare internal progress reports and project schedules
  • Prepare EAC updates and change orders
  • Contact vendors to expedite deliveries
  • Solicit cost estimates
  • Generate invoices and other forms
  • Prepare project spending profile
  • Act as primary liaison with Customer
  • Undertake decisions and recommendations within established guidelines and procedures

Requirements:

  • German knowledge (spoken and written) is mandatory
  • Engineering degree, commerce or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience of project management or combination of education and experience
  • Proven methodology of project management
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain excellent customer relations
  • Experience with or knowledge of high tech products is an asset
  • Effective team work skills (customer teams, colleagues in PM, internal services and external suppliers)
