TEAMS Transport is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Full Time Shipper/Receiver in our Winnipeg terminal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Count and inspect freight or damages, shortages, and other discrepancies.
  • Strip trailers and stage freight in the warehouse, ensuring efficient use of space.
  • Unload trailers according to established procedures, minimizing damage and freight claims.
  • Move freight to Company standards, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Monitor BOLs and shipping manifests, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dock/work area, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Operate a pallet jack and hand dolly as needed, demonstrating physical stamina and dexterity.
  • Practice all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet Company objectives and goals.
Requirements
  • Forklift experience is essential for this role.
  • A high attention to detail is crucial for accuracy and quality control.
  • Initiative and a strong work ethic are necessary for success in this position.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability are essential in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work alternating evenings and weekends are required.
  • Ability to read, sort, and understand shipping manifests is necessary.
  • Capacity to assess weights and judge distances and heights is essential.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season, is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs from shoulder to floor, standing and walking for the majority of the shift.
