Job Summary:

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team. As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing weekly union payroll, semi-monthly salaried payroll, and preparing reports by compiling summaries of company earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability payments, and non-taxable wages.


Key Responsibilities:


- Process weekly union payroll and semi-monthly salaried payroll

- Prepare reports by compiling summaries of company earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability payments, and non-taxable wages

- Prepare year-end employee tax slips or forms and submit government filings to meet deadlines

- Oversee payroll departmental staff and payroll remittances filings (EHT, WSIB, WCB, Source Deductions, ROE's)

- Ensure timely filing of multiple monthly union reports for multiple locals

- Correspond with union representatives, CRA, and employees as required

- Prepare and reconcile T4's at year-end

- Ensure accurate employee file information (new and old)


Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field

- Professional Payroll designation (PCP, CPM) is preferred

- 2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role

- 5+ years of payroll experience

- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

- Superb understanding of multi-provincial payroll and taxes

- Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws

- Organizational and leadership skills

- Skilled in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
