About the Job

We are looking for an experienced professional to contribute to our safety-first production operations by regularly inspecting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining equipment and machinery as required to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Workplace Safety: Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Conduct PM work and repairs to machinery and plant support systems with regards to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic problems.
  • Work with Preventative Maintenance Programs: Keep detailed and accurate maintenance records.
  • Cleaning and Lubrication: Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Operate Machine Tools: Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhauls, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
  • Fabricate Custom Parts: Work with a wide array of precision tools and fabricate custom parts, fixtures, and guarding by means of arc welding, grinding, oxyacetylene cutting.
  • Assemble and Install Machinery: Assemble and install machinery and equipment such as mixers, saws, pullers, precision bearings, gear-boxes, clutches, motors, shafts, sprockets, chains, conveyors, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Machinery: Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment in breakdown situations to ensure production requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: Must be a valid Maintenance Millwright who is fully licensed/certified in the Province of Ontario.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Reliable, punctual, and health-safety-environment conscious.
  • Availability: Must be available to work shifts and overtime.
  • Operating Skills: Ability to operate forklifts and aerial lifts.
  • Machine Shop Practices: Strong familiarity with machine shop practices (lathe & milling machines); use of power tools.
