Job Opportunity: Educational Assistant Substitute

The Lethbridge School Division is seeking a qualified Educational Assistant Substitute to support students with diverse needs. As a member of our dynamic team, you will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with targeted and specialized supports and services to effectively participate in their learning community.
  • Implement strategies to support socially appropriate behaviors, attend to physical and medical needs, and monitor progress.
  • Work under the direction of teachers, primarily with identified students, to develop trust and rapport.
  • Collaborate with the school community to share information, reflect on strategies, and suggest modifications to maximize student success.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or General Educational Development (GED) diploma.
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field, such as Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Education, or Child & Youth Care.
  • Experience working with students and/or clients with exceptionalities.

Benefits:
