About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our Financial Services team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our accounting subsystems and providing exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and procedures, with a minimum of one year of experience in a computerized environment. Experience working within the functional area of Accounts Receivable is preferred, as well as proficiency in Meditech, STAR, and SAP.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong commitment to customer service, safety, and ethical practices.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the integrity of accounting subsystems and ensuring accurate and timely financial information
  • Providing exceptional customer service and responding to customer inquiries
  • Working collaboratively with other teams to achieve financial goals and objectives
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting principles and procedures
