Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Aki Transport Ltd. is seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the condition of the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid passport
  • Criminal record check
  • Driver's validity license check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working on the road, traveling to various locations, and spending extended periods away from home. You will be required to work 40 to 60 hours per week, depending on the route and schedule.
