About This Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Complex Accounting will be responsible for managing and supervising the Complex Accounting team and acting as an expert for management and business units on accounting implications of unusual and complex transactions.

You will:

  • Assess and prepare documentation for unusual and complex transactions;
  • Be a strategic advisor on accounting-related issues to management and different finance teams;
  • Lead the team of professional accountants in Complex Accounting and review their work;
  • Manage and execute accounting-related projects, including business acquisitions and new accounting standards;
  • Prepare and facilitate training sessions for the finance team;
  • Support the financial reporting team with external consolidated financial reporting for unusual and complex issues.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Must have a professional accounting designation (CPA);
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role or at a large accounting firm;
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS and excellent interpretation skills;
  • Excellent communication and adaptability skills;
  • A self-starter with high initiative and autonomy;
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work;
  • Fluent in both French and English.
