Job Title: Light Duty Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Jyllikleen Cleaning Services. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Debris and Trash Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, assist with immediate settlement needs, support social and labour market integration, and recruit newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for Youth: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, offer on-the-job training, mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities, develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, and provide cultural competency training.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities, apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination, offer mentorship programs, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training.

Requirements: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, 1 to less than 7 months of experience, ability to work 40 hours per week, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
