Job Title: Paramedic

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team at Provincial Health Services Authority.

Job Summary:

The Paramedic will provide emergency medical care and transportation to patients in need. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide emergency medical care to patients, including assessing injuries and illnesses, administering medications, and performing procedures.
  • Transport patients to medical facilities, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of patient interactions and medical procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence (ambulances, emergency vehicles and buses with fewer than 24 passengers).
  • Criminal record check.
  • Medical exam.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Driver's abstract.
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Work under pressure.
  • Tight deadlines.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Attention to detail.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
  • As per collective agreement.
