Job Summary

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Quality Control department, ensuring that all quality standards are met and that the team is working efficiently. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of quality control principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize the workload to meet operating requirements
  • Lead laboratory investigations and provide oversight to investigation reports
  • Use analytical data and statistical concepts to understand variables impacting assay and process performance
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with cGMP
  • Apply expertise to support change and risk management
  • Initiate or coordinate the preparation of reports and maintenance of records
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams in process mapping and other exercises
  • Coach employees through problems and direct subordinates to complete assignments
  • Provide development opportunities to staff through training and development plans
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, accompanied by a bachelor's degree in science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of GMP and WHMIS and biohazard safety awareness
  • Scientific knowledge of standard practices in the area of assignment
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and techniques
  • Ability to conduct investigative interviews

  • Work irregular hours that often include nights and weekends
