Job Summary

At Forescout Technologies Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our Engineering organization. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for leading cloud design and implementation efforts, optimizing cloud costs, and ensuring compliance with security frameworks such as FedRAMP and IL5.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the Global Cloud Architect, leading cloud design and implementation efforts.
  2. Optimize and understand the costs of operating in a cloud environment, providing insights for cost-efficient solutions.
  3. Assist in the completion of ongoing FedRAMP and IL4/IL5 certifications, ensuring our federal and government customers can access our cloud capabilities.
  4. Understand regional cloud considerations and the need to respect regional laws around data privacy.
  5. Collaborate and advise DevOps teams to establish best practices for maintaining product availability and performance in the cloud.
  6. Enhance cloud observability, monitoring, and analysis to ensure high reliability and fast issue resolution.
  7. Estimate costs and level of effort for the creation and ongoing operation of new cloud features and services.
  8. As the cloud technology expert, maintain documentation, and lead architecture design for scalable and secure cloud applications and solutions.
  9. Develop and improve enterprise-grade architecture using best practices to ensure data confidentiality, product integrity, and availability.
  10. Partner closely with product and engineering leaders to distill product vision into architectural patterns for cloud delivery.
  11. Collaborate with platform architects, product teams, and engineering leaders to build scalable infrastructure supporting the world's largest IT, IoT, IoMT, and OT networks.
  12. Work closely with the InfoSec team to ensure that the cloud architecture meets stringent security requirements across all stages of the product lifecycle.
  13. Continuously identify and evaluate technologies and tools that enhance product performance and development efficiency.
  14. Maintain and manage the cloud platform architecture blueprints, documenting product components, services, libraries, blocks, and communication flows with internal and external dependencies.

Requirements
  1. 10+ years of cloud architecture experience, specifically with micro-services and multi-tenant solutions.
  2. Extensive experience with Azure Cloud; multiple Azure Cloud certifications are a plus, and experience with Google Cloud is highly desirable.
  3. Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and IL5.
  4. Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and experience working with a variety of cybersecurity tools.
  5. Proven experience in designing, creating, improving, documenting, and extending cloud services.
  6. Deep understanding of balancing confidentiality, integrity, and availability requirements across IT/IoT and OT/IoMT networks.
  7. Expertise in PKI, authentication mechanisms, and encryption ciphers for inter-platform and inter-process communications.
  8. Broad knowledge of enterprise services and security tools in large-scale organizations.
  9. A passion for learning and a curiosity to understand design patterns, architectural decisions, and underlying code.
