Our goal is to provide a world-class customer experience, and we're looking for a skilled Technical Specialist to join our team.
The Opportunity
As a Technical Specialist, you will work in our brand-new office in Tweed Heads, providing regular advice and coaching to Case Managers within our teams. You will also support the Team Leader and advise on adverse decisions relating to liability, work capacity, permanent impairment, and weekly payment entitlements.
This is a permanent position based in the Tweed Heads office, with flexibility to work from home. You will be part of a collaborative and innovative team culture, with opportunities for professional development and career growth.
Your Responsibilities
- Coach a team of Case Managers and support the delivery of a world-class customer experience
- Assess all technical considerations of compensation payments and liability determination
- Work within the legislative and regulatory environment to optimize outcomes for all stakeholders
- Apply sound risk management principles to ensure compliance and robust decision-making
- Understand the impact of initial eligibility under legislation in regard to benefits for injured workers and impact to stakeholders
- Participate and provide technical support in employer claims reviews
About You
- Strong technical experience in workers' compensation claims
- Proven experience coaching & mentoring case managers in the workers compensation industry
- Demonstrated understanding and application of relevant NSW Workers Compensation laws and the associated regulations
- You have previous experience working as a case manager or a technical specialist background
- Tertiary studies in Allied Health or Legislation is desirable
