Job Title: Arborist Labourer

Job Summary:

An entry-level position with opportunities for growth and advancement in the field of arboriculture. Assist the crew with site maintenance, clean-up, and operate maintenance equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of tree care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work safely and support a positive team environment, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
  • Perform physically demanding manual labor in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.
  • Load and unload trucks, feed brush into a woodchipper, and set up/take down the site, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required, including assisting with tree pruning, removal, and planting.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or higher, with a focus on environmental science, horticulture, or a related field.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record, and a willingness to obtain additional certifications as required.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.
  • Motivated to work independently and as a team member, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Operate and service tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and other arboriculture equipment.
  • Work long hours, including holidays and weekends, as required to meet the needs of the business and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Valid First-Aid and CPR certificates, with a willingness to obtain additional certifications as required.
