Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder B Pressure Fabrication Specialist to join our team at our Bonnyville Fabrication Shop. As a Welder B Pressure Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for welding pressure piping and other metal components, as well as developing patterns for projects and following directions given in layouts, blueprints, and work orders.

Responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of welding equipment involved with various welding procedures
  • Have thorough knowledge of metals, arc electrodes, welding gases and gas welding filter rods.
  • Use welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or SAW to weld pressure piping.
  • Develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch and welding parts together.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal
  • Alberta B-Pressure ticket or equivalent if from another province
  • CSTS 2020
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Class 5 Driver's License (Non-GDL) and a 3-year Driver's Abstract
  • Welding tickets and/or welder performance qualification testing required - as per Site's Performance Qualification testing of welder's guideline.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
  • CWB - Welder - Fab & Assembly- must be able to read and interpret Acorn & isometric drawing
  • CWB - Welder - previous tacking experience is an asset / Apprentice 2-3 yr
  • Stainless experience is an asset
