Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at SUMAN TRANSPORT LTD. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently over long distances, often in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently over long distances, often in a team environment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, including cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid Class 1 driver's license.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 driver's license.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to lift and move cargo as required.
Work Environment

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working on the road, often in a team environment. You will be required to work overtime as needed and be able to lift and move cargo as required.
