About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at J C Mechanical Contractor Ltds. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our team and adhering to all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines
  • Work at heights, in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Collaborate with a team of 1-2 people, including apprentices and sheet metal workers
  • Operate in a shopwork setting, with a focus on assembly, construction, fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair, service, and shopwork
  • Perform tasks such as ensuring health and safety regulations are followed, and working under pressure
Requirements
  • Hold a Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate and/or Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification
  • Have a basic security clearance, be bondable, and undergo a criminal record check
  • Be willing to travel and have a valid driver's licence
  • Own steel-toed safety boots and be able to work in a dusty, noisy, and outdoors environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the field of employment
  • Experience as an apprentice or in a related role
