We are looking for a highly skilled Naval Architectural Specialist to join our team. As a Naval Architectural Specialist, you will be responsible for creating or revising 3D or 2D functional or detail/production models or drawings for ship, vessel, and boat design/fabrication.

You will be part of a member team working closely with customers and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems.

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to or be responsible for the creation or revisions of 3D or 2D functional or detail/production models or drawings for ship, vessel, and boat design/fabrication in various disciplines.
  • Develop positive working relationships with all team members and stakeholders and facilitate clear and timely communication and exchange of information.
  • Ensure that drawings and manufacturing information are generated in accordance with Serco and client standards, quality, and engineering processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 or more years of 3D modeling design or 2D drafting experience in marine environments as a Marine Draftsperson/Designer.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Reliability Status clearance (Canadian Citizenship is required).
  • Experience with commercial vessel or Coast Guard or Naval type vessels.
  • Expertise with functional design transitioning to production design and/or experience with unit/block build strategy production design is an asset.
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and Navisworks.
