Workplace Interior Designer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our Toronto studio. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with our interior design, architecture, and engineering teams to develop innovative design solutions for our integrated projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design solutions that meet the unique needs of each project
  • Communicate and coordinate design requirements through various project phases
  • Responsible for selecting and specifying furniture, finishes, equipment, and accessories
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external meetings, including conceptual design ideas and 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings
  • Manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining project budgeting and scheduling
  • Coordinate and/or undertake the preparation of required project documents, minutes, schedules, and specifications
  • Apply building code and construction regulations
  • Attend on-site visits and field reviews, and direct contractors and vendors as required
  • Coordinate and/or undertake site deficiency review and installation inspections

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in Interior Design consulting with strong knowledge, creativity, and experience of the design process
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field (NCIDQ an asset)
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Revit, Navisworks, Photoshop, and InDesign (Sketch-up, Rhino experience an asset)
  • Excellent communication skills, team-oriented, accountable, and highly motivated
  • Proven experience in participating in client engagement processes from programming and conceptual design through to construction phases
  • Experience working on conceptual and innovative workplace projects, with experience in tech office design an asset
  • A design enthusiast, where you can translate concepts into uniquely experiential and functional design solutions
  • A high achiever with a desire to grow and learn both personally and professionally
