Meat Cutter

At EVEREST FRESH MART INC., we are seeking a skilled Retail Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Retail Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and selling quality meats to our customers. Your duties will include cleaning meats to prepare for processing or cutting, cutting carcasses, sides, and quarters, and preparing special cuts of meat ordered by customers.
Additionally, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat, wrapping and packaging prepared meats, removing bones from meat, weighing meats for sale, and cleaning and preparing fish and shellfish. You will also be responsible for selling meats to customers and supervising other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers.
As a Retail Meat Cutter, you will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to multitask and work well under pressure. You will also be responsible for grinding meats and making special sausages. - Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
- Wrap and package prepared meats
- Remove bones from meat
- Weigh meats for sale
- Clean and prepare fish and shellfish
- Sell meats to customers
- Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
- Grind meats
- Make special sausages
