We are seeking a skilled Master Woodworker to join our team at Digital Fabrication. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality wood products and components for our projects.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position that requires a strong background in carpentry and woodworking. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with various types of wood, including hardwoods and softwoods. You will work closely with our design team to bring concepts to life and ensure that all projects meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset

Working Conditions

This role requires a 40-hour workweek and involves working in a fast-paced production environment. You must be able to lift heavy objects and work at heights.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
