Ponath Management is seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a plumber. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 2 years of experience in the trade. They will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including reading blueprints, determining piping system requirements, and estimating costs and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Schedule personnel, tools and equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
Work Requirements:
  • Physically demanding
  • Requires safety equipment/gear, including steel-toed safety boots and hard hat
