Job Description

**Job Title:** IT Systems Analyst - Business Process Improvement

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Analyst to join our team at Timmins Economic Development Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems to meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Business Process Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
  2. System Design and Development: Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through technology, develop detailed system specifications, and work with IT teams to design, test, and implement new systems or system changes.
  3. System Testing and Validation: Conduct system testing and validation to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects.
  4. User Support and Training: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of new systems.
  5. System Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  6. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure systems and processes comply with regulatory requirements, and collaborate with compliance and legal teams to address any compliance-related issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Proven experience as an IT Systems Analyst or similar role.
  3. Skills: Strong understanding of business processes and how they can be improved through technology, proficiency in system analysis and design methodologies, experience with database management systems and software development, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Industry Experience: Experience with specific software or systems relevant to the industry.
  2. Certifications: Certifications in IT systems analysis or related fields.
  3. Compliance Experience: Experience with compliance processes and regulatory requirements.
