We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team at CK Flooring & Interior Ltd.

The successful candidate will have experience in woodworking and construction, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About the Job

This is a permanent full-time position, working 35-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral communication skills, be accurate and efficient, and possess strong judgement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Maintaining, repairing and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Work Environment

The job requires working in various locations, including construction sites, mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, large workload, overtime required, physically demanding, tight deadlines
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, judgement, reliability, values and ethics
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, based on experience and location.
