About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Supply Chain team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key leadership role, you will provide expertise in managing and analyzing data to support decision making and monitor performance of the service.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in business, science, or engineering, and a minimum of three years' experience in a supply chain analytical role. You should have a proven track record of managing multiple priorities and strict deadlines, as well as experience supervising staff and coaching to achieve high levels of performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and analyze large volumes of complex information to support decision making and monitor performance of the service.
  • Provide leadership to analyst teams and work closely with the Supply Chain Management team to ensure consistency in practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to drive performance across the business and forge partnerships to achieve business objectives.
  • Extract and summarize critical points from large amounts of data and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Utilize systems and information to effectively communicate business performance and support other users.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in business, science, or engineering, or other fields relevant to the duties performed.
  • Minimum Three years' experience in a supply chain analytical role working with large volumes of complex information.
  • Project management certification an asset.
  • Lean certification an asset.
  • Experience supervising staff and coaching to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
  • SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to forge partnerships with other functional areas to drive performance across the business.
  • Capable of managing large amounts of data and able to extract and summarize the critical points.
  • Proficient at communicating in a clear, concise manner.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
  • Proven ability to utilize systems and information to effectively communicate business performance and support other users.
  • Attention to detail in preparation and delivery of recall information to a wide audience.
  • Highly developed numeracy and IT skills to support the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain excellent customer service.
  • Strong analytical skills and strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Efficiently delegates the issues to the team members.
  • Competencies in other languages preferred; French an asset.
