Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and repair hardware and software faults onboard ships and in workshops;
- Develop technical solutions or changes to in-service equipment;
- Support test events, including planning, data collection, and analysis;
- Implement alterations to in-service systems;
- Develop, review, update, and distribute technical documentation;
- Verify and validate systems independently;
- Provide training related to supported systems.
- Engineering technologist diploma or BSc in Engineering or BSc with suitable military officer experience;
- 10 years of significant and recent experience in a related field;
- Ability to work collaboratively to design, develop, and deploy quality solutions;
- Effective communication of technical concepts to non-experts;
- Resourcefulness and ability to work independently under minimal supervision;
- Eligibility for a Canadian secret security classification;
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Experience as a technologist;
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally;
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation;
- Ability to write reports, technical correspondence, and procedure manuals.
