About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at SimplyDabest Carpet Cleaning & Janitorial Services. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our clients' properties.

Responsibilities
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries, and handle lost and found items.
  • Provide basic information on facilities and address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers, and launder clothing and household linens.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, and wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Clean changing rooms and showers, and maintain a non-smoking environment.
Requirements
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
  • Punctuality, organized, team player, and patience.
  • Support for newcomers and refugees, including foreign credential recognition and diversity training.
  • Support for youths, including on-the-job training and awareness training.
  • Support for Indigenous people, including mentorship and cultural competency training.
  • Support for visible minorities, including hiring policies and mentorship programs.
