Job Title: Network Support Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Support Technician to join our team at Technoloop solutions inc. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and mainframe networks
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal network performance
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and sensitive information
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures, maintaining control records and ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, optimizing server performance and ensuring network stability
  • Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts to enhance user experience and improve network efficiency
  • Research and apply meta-data to Websites, registering them with search engines to improve visibility and accessibility
  • Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and designers, providing timely and effective support
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss
  • Supervise technical staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure team members are equipped to handle complex network issues
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in network administration and support
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package
  • 35 to 40 hours of work per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
  • English language proficiency, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
