About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Talbot Marketing Inc. As an Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST/HST and corporate income tax returns.
  • Payroll Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, including deductions and benefits.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or equivalent in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Windows. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
