Job Summary:
Nutrien is seeking a skilled Backup Operator to join our Mine Operations team in Allan, Saskatchewan, Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the safe and efficient achievement of production targets through the operation of underground mining equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate underground mining equipment to support production targets
- Perform manual labor tasks, including clean-up, scaling, bolting, and loading/unloading supplies and equipment
- Work safely in a mining environment and follow established procedures and policies
- Participate in safety meetings and inspections
- Work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
Requirements:
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Stable work record
- Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
- Ability to interact positively with coworkers and supervisors
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Initiative in safety and performance objectives
- Skills in documentation and electronic reporting
