We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work with our Department of Labour and Immigration as a Building Codes Inspector. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements specified under the Buildings Act, representing Inspections and Technical Services in the delivery and enforcement of related regulations, and providing consultative services regarding applicable codes and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • ">
  • Completion of a Building Inspection Certificate – Part 9 Certified Building Code Official CBCO or Part 3 CBCO.">
  • Knowledge and ability to interpret and apply Acts, regulations, codes, and standards governing the safe construction of buildings within Manitoba and Canada.">
  • Extensive experience in the construction, design, and inspection of buildings under construction.">
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information.">
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet competing deadlines.">
  • Ability to work independently.">
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.">
