About the Role:
GFL Environmental is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Route Inspector (m/f) to support our growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the personnel of the operations department (drivers and waste collectors).
- Monitor productivity and maximize operations.
- Distribute work routes.
- Prepare travel plans for different sectors (road maps).
- Consolidate time sheets and weight tickets.
- Conduct on-road observations.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance.
- Follow up on complaints with the customer service department and municipalities.
- Apply GFL's health and safety policies at work.
- Apply the collective agreement.
- Perform any other tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- We are looking for a candidate with a D.E.S. and 3 years of experience in route management and/or 2-3 years of experience in personnel management in a unionized environment.
- Experience in the transportation industry is considered an asset.
- A good knowledge of Bill 430 is also considered an asset.
- To occupy the position, it is essential to demonstrate excellent ability to work under pressure and good stress management skills in crisis situations.
- You must demonstrate a very high level of availability and flexibility.
- You must hold a valid driver's license.
