We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Stella's Circle. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Respond to maintenance requests and contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
- Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks and projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and First Aid Certification.
- 1-2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
