Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our backend API development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software architecture, a proven track record of managing high-performing engineering teams, and a passion for creating scalable and efficient backend systems.

  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers specializing in backend API development.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
    • Set clear goals and performance expectations for the team, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Backend API Development
    • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable and efficient APIs using FastAPI.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API requirements and integrate with frontend and other backend services.
  • CI/CD & DevOps
    • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to streamline development and deployment processes.
    • Manage and configure Kubernetes clusters to ensure smooth and scalable application deployments.
  • Software Architecture
    • Design and review software architecture to ensure it meets scalability, reliability, and performance standards.
    • Provide technical leadership in architectural decisions and guide the team in implementing best practices.
  • Project Management
    • Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Manage project priorities, resource allocation, and risk assessment to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to senior management on project status and potential issues.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.

Key Skills

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of software architecture principles and best practices, proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems, and strong problem-solving skills.
