Job Title: Application Developer APEX

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Developer APEX to join our team at StandardAero. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software applications using Oracle APEX.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate user requirements for new or modified reports and accurately convert the specification into high-quality reports.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts to ensure that software applications meet the needs of our customers.
  • Perform the full range of programming, testing, and debugging to ensure that software applications are robust, resilient, and secure.
  • Write units tests, functional tests, and developer integration tests to ensure that software applications meet the required standards.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications using industry-approved coding practices from frameworks including OWASP, NIST, SDLC, and PCI DSS.
  • Follow change control processes and adhere to internal policies and procedures.
  • Track and record daily activities and provide weekly reports to management.
  • Use internal applications to complete development assignments, including Microsoft Outlook, JIRA, and Microsoft Word.
  • Assist with resolving production problems and user calls.
  • Collaborate with other application development team members to ensure that software applications meet the required standards.
  • Carry out special projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in computer programming or computer science from a recognized university or college.
  • Knowledge of Oracle APEX and/or experience with Oracle SQL.
  • Some knowledge of financial and business processes.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with the software development life cycle and source control tools.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, Visual Basic.NET programming language, Oracle SQL, and MS SQL Server.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, Microsoft Outlook, JIRA, and Microsoft Word would be an asset.
