About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Eh to Zed Preschool Canada Early Learning Academy.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Job Summary

This is a permanent position, 35 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of $45,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a supportive work environment, opportunities for professional growth and development, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children;
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest;
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity;
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits;
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor;
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children;
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children;
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours;
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent qualification;
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field;
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Flexibility and reliability;
Work Environment

This role will be based in one of our child care centers in Canada. The work setting is a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
