About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic team in a Community Development role. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients, families, and community stakeholders to provide comprehensive mental health services and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic client assessments and short-term individual therapy using a variety of interviewing, counseling, and assessment methods
  • Formulate treatment plans and goals in conjunction with MSD and Mental Health and Substance Use Services staff
  • Liaise with community resources, including alcohol and drug treatment programs, vocational programs, and other relevant services
  • Maintain client records and statistics, prepare reports, and complete forms as required
  • Advocate on behalf of clients by providing information about appeal processes and assisting clients to complete forms
  • Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities for assigned area

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or other relevant health-related discipline
  • Two years' recent, related experience in a community or hospital psychiatric setting, or in a rapid response crisis stabilization function
  • Eligible for registration with appropriate professional association
  • Valid B.C. Driver's license and access to own vehicle with appropriate business coverage

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is CAD $42.27 - $52.81 / hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
